Helpful Information About the Group Runs/Rides-Rules of the Pack
- All group runs and rides are free. Just show up and let's have a good time.
- There will be multiple runs/events in which I will spend some time talking about technique, strategy, etc to get the most out of your run/ride for that type of terrain. Requests for specific topics welcome.
- In an effort to accommodate multiple skill levels of the group, runs/rides are labeled like TV ratings: E for E'rybody, I for Intermediate, and ME for Mo' Experienced. Anyone is welcome to join in on either event type for either skill level. However, the understanding is that the event will cater more to one group or the other based on its rating.
- Changes in time and/or date to the group events can change at any time. I post this on my Facebook page, Threshold Multisport Coaching. Please follow me there to get the latest information. Much of the changes are based on the response of who says they're going or not. If only beginners are going, I may change the ride to "E" or vice versa. So, if you plan on attending, write a comment in the facebook post so I know who will be there and can cater to that group.
Red Top has a wealth of trails from rolling hills to graveled flatter trails. Some roots and rocks on large trails. Bring your trail running shoes. 3-12 miles of running.
Located by the Komatsu offices in Cartersville, this is an up and over trail. About 900 ft of climbing the west loop followed by 900 ft of drop and then back up the east loop. Will sometimes connect to the Coopers Furnace trail. Roots, rocks, single track awesomeness. Bring your trail shoes for sure. Not for the faint of heart. 4.5-8 miles of running.
Dellinger Park-here we'll do track workouts, jog on the gravel path, or cruise the Etowah sidewalk trail. 2-6 miles of running.
Hamilton Crossing Park is one of the meeting places for rides. They have bathrooms and a paved track for brick training. Ride out into Kingston, Floyd County, Adairsville, etc. This is the back side of the BBC. More hills than Bud Plant.
